Fell apart after 6 months October 31, 2007 Kujo 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
It's a pretty comfortable shoe, not the most comfortable I've ever worn but comfortable. The problem is after 6 months both soles cracked from side to side. One shoe cracked completely in half and split the interior of the shoe so that you could touch the bottom of my foot. I would not recommend these shoes at all.
outstanding July 22, 2010 bipbob 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i am ordering these for the second time. i've had the same pair for 2 and a half years....believe me, they dont look too pretty now. part of it, is because i tend to wear something until it falls apart -these boots didnt have any signs of falling apart until about six months ago. 2 years before the sides started taring, and a tare in the bottom started about 2 months ago.-, i am also a machinist, and am around a lot of oil, nasty coolant, metal chips, and so on. i have had a 6 inch diameter by 10 foot in length piece of heat treated titanium steel fall on the steel toes, and not even leave a dent. it is super slippery on the floors at my work (because of the oil), and i can literally run across these floors, with plenty of traction, even after 2 and a half years of wear on the bottom. on top of all this....i dont have a car, and these boots are all i own. i walk miles in these boots. for about a year straight, i walked 3 miles to work, and 3 miles back. 6 miles a day for a year straight -minus weekends and such-. the shoes were not falling apart at all. just the typical wear on the bottom. i highly recomend these boots.
Just ordered a new pair December 20, 2009 s kelly (long island) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just ordered a new pair for christmas. Still wearing my old pair for last 16 months, given there worn out completely, it's a testament to there comfort. The toes are still completely there, never scuffed threw to steel. The edges cracked about a month ago and get worse by the day but shoe guy wanted $65 to fix it. For less then $90 I opted for a new pair. Heels are worn considerably but not all the way threw either. Perfect for outside work where your boots get wet. Very hot in summer time however. Over all an outstanding product.
Expensive but worth it. Comfortable from the git-go December 21, 2007 Rudi Hempe (Narragansett, RI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
An expensive boot but I like the no-scuff lowers. Boot was comfortable from the very beginning.
excellent workmanship May 12, 2010 John Thompson (Heartland, USA) very good product...I'm a construction worker who's feet are constantly in and out of water and are always rubbing, kicking, scraping all kinds of rough surfaces. These are the best boots I've had the pleasure of wearing. Make sure you buy something to absorb the sweat though because these boots are sealed and don't breath very well...but guaranteed to keep your feet warm and dry.
