| Customer Reviews: Beefy and wide, yet light and dandy! July 6, 2010 Yostie (Arizonaah) Getting ready to spend a summer hiking about the vast unruly lands in the Southwest my husband and I bought these boots in his and hers styles. Overall we very much love them! Heeding some advice, we bought these boots a little bigger than we needed so we could accommodate the swelling that feet do throughout a day of walking/hiking. And since I have very sensitive toe nails that practically jump off at a rumor of trauma, I've been keeping a close eye on how they react to these boots. So far they're all intact!! They have proven waterproof so far, however one of the little metal insignia that are punched into the boots have fallen out leaving a hold about 3 mm in diameter - I'll try to find something to patch it later - but am disappointed that I'd have to patch $150 boots so soon. The only other thing that I don't like is that they bruise the backs of my ankles where the top of the boot meets them. Its not so bad that i can't wear them all day, but at night i can certainly tell that I've been wearing my Danners again.
Great for the money! August 27, 2009 L. Rawlknson 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have owned boots galore, and I must say for the money these boots are great and I like the pretty slate/blue color too. Although they were backordered I got them rather quickly.
All kinds of survival gear and clothing are often backordered now because a whole lot of people are finding out about Planet X and the coming pole shift, the pole shift the government is NOT telling you about. And I am not crazy. I have seen Planet X many times; it is difficult to see now because it is like the "thief that comes in the night" in the glare of the sun.
They are supposedly trying to prevent panic, but the real reason is the power elite do NOT want YOU to prevent them from reaching their bunkers and above-ground estates and they want YOU to die in cities on coastlines and in crumbling cities during the 10+ quakes. You have been warned!
They also have a very sturdy toe, which you don't always get.
The fact that they are Gore-Tex for the money is a huge plus!
By the way, always order your boots at least 1/2 size large so two pairs of socks will fit. You will be glad you did.
